You’re using Outlook / Office 365 and want to use LaGrowthMachine to automate your sales efforts via Email? And via LinkedIn? And via Twitter? Well, you can do just that!

You have two ways of connecting your Outlook Account :

  • Via Office 365 Connect - no modification required

  • Via SMTP - which requires a small modification of your account settings

Want to learn more about both methods? Read-on!

Table of contents :

How to connect Outlook via Office 365 Connect?

The easiest way to use your Outlook email in LaGrowthMachine is via our native synchronization with Office 365

Head to the Identity Section and Select Outlook when connecting your Email

You'll be redirected to the Outlook Connect page. Select your email and enter your password.

Grant permissions to LaGrowthMachine and you'll be set!

All good!

How to connect Outlook via SMTP?

Connecting an Outlook account via SMTP will work in three steps :

  1. Enabling “Authenticated SMTP” in your Microsoft 365 Admin Center (3min setup)

  2. Disabling Access management for Azure resources (1min)

  3. Login within LaGrowthMachine via the Automatic SMTP setup feature (1min setup)

You must have Admin access for the first two steps!

Enabling “Authenticated SMTP” in your Microsoft 365 Admin Center

Enabling “Authenticated SMTP” will allow your account to use the SMTP protocol that LaGrowthMachine will use to send and synchronize your email account.

If you don’t enable it, you’ll have a “Wrong Host/Port” error while attempting to set up your email in LaGrowthMachine

You need to activate the “Authenticated SMTP” feature in your Microsoft 365 Admin Center to fix this issue. To do so, head to your Microsoft Admin Center and click on the user you want to connect in LGM (as seen below)

On there, click on “Email” then “Manage Email Apps”

Finally, enable “Authenticated SMTP” and save changes

Disabling Access management for Azure resources

You also need to disable Access Management for Azure resources. Head to your Azure Security Setting and select “No” on Access management for Azure resources

Login within LaGrowthMachine via the Automatic SMTP setup feature

Now, go back to LaGrowthMachine. Enter your logins and hit "Automatic setup". LaGrowthMachine will automatically identify your IMAP/SMTP configuration.

Check the setups and you're good to go!

It’s up to you now!

Your account is finally connected - you're a few steps away from launching your first multichannel campaigns. Here’s some more reading for you :
