How do I connect La Growth Machine to Claude, ChatGPT and other AI assistants (MCP)?

Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor or Codex to your La Growth Machine account in a few clicks, no API key. Free on every plan.

Written by Brice Maurin

Overview

The La Growth Machine MCP server connects your AI assistant to your La Growth Machine account. Once it's connected, you ask in plain words and your assistant reads your stats, clears your inbox, builds audiences and launches campaigns for you.

Server URL: https://mcp.lagrowthmachine.com

Key benefits

  • Works with Claude (web, Desktop, mobile), ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and any MCP client

  • No API key: you sign in with your La Growth Machine account (OAuth 2.1)

  • Free on every La Growth Machine plan, and during the free trial

  • 50 tools: 24 that read, 26 that act on your account. Your assistant asks before it acts, by default

  • Official and open source (Apache 2.0), built and run by La Growth Machine

Note: "MCP" stands for Model Context Protocol, the standard AI assistants use to connect to other tools. You don't need to know anything about it to follow this guide.

Who is it for?

Anyone on your team who already works in Claude or ChatGPT and wants to run their outreach from the chat: sales reps, SDR managers, founders, RevOps and agencies. Each person connects with their own La Growth Machine account.

Before you start

  • A La Growth Machine account (any plan, or a free trial)

  • An AI assistant that accepts MCP connectors: Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or another MCP client

  • At work, your company may control which connectors you can add. If a step below is greyed out or blocked, see the Troubleshooting section

How to connect your assistant

Claude (web, Desktop and mobile)

  1. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors

  2. Search for La Growth Machine and click Connect

  3. A La Growth Machine tab opens. Sign in, then allow access

  4. Back in Claude, start a new chat and ask your first question (see First prompts to try)

If the search shows nothing, add it by URL: choose Add custom connector, name it La Growth Machine, paste https://mcp.lagrowthmachine.com, then sign in. A connector added on the web also works in Claude Desktop and on mobile.

ChatGPT

In ChatGPT, the connection goes through Developer mode. On Business and Enterprise plans, a workspace admin may need to turn it on first.

  1. Open Settings → Apps

  2. Turn on Developer mode (in the advanced settings)

  3. Create a new app: name it La Growth Machine, paste https://mcp.lagrowthmachine.com and choose OAuth as the authentication

  4. Sign in to La Growth Machine in the tab that opens, then allow access

  5. In a new chat, select the La Growth Machine app and ask your first question

Claude Code

In your terminal, run:

claude mcp add --transport http --scope user LaGrowthMachine https://mcp.lagrowthmachine.com

Then start Claude Code. The first time it uses La Growth Machine, a browser tab opens: sign in and allow access. You can also type /mcp, pick LaGrowthMachine and sign in from there.

Want our free GTM skills too? This command installs the skills and adds the MCP server to Claude Code in one go (it needs Node.js):

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/LaGrowthMachine/gtm-system/main/install.sh | sh

Cursor

Open Cursor Settings → MCP and click Add new MCP server. Cursor opens its MCP settings file. Add La Growth Machine and save:

{ "mcpServers": { "LaGrowthMachine": { "url": "https://mcp.lagrowthmachine.com" } } }

Back in the MCP settings, click Connect (or Needs login) next to LaGrowthMachine, then sign in to La Growth Machine.

Codex

In your terminal, add the server:

codex mcp add LaGrowthMachine --url https://mcp.lagrowthmachine.com

Then sign in:

codex mcp login LaGrowthMachine

Start Codex and ask your first question.

Important: in Cursor and Codex, the skills install command above only adds the skills. It does not connect the MCP server: add it with the steps above.

Any other MCP client

Add https://mcp.lagrowthmachine.com as a remote (HTTP) MCP server and sign in. If your client can't do the OAuth sign-in, it can send your La Growth Machine API key instead, as a Bearer token. You'll find the key in Settings → API.

First prompts to try

  • Reporting: "Tell me which campaigns are working well, and what I need to do."

  • Inbox: "Get all of the responses that haven't been replied to yet, and suggest a response."

  • Leads: "Add these 30 people to my audience 'VP Sales DACH'."

  • Campaigns: "Duplicate my best campaign, attach my 'VP Sales DACH' audience and launch it."

  • Custom messages: "Write the custom messages my campaigns are waiting for, one per lead, from their profile."

Prompts work in any language. Replace the audience and campaign names with your own.

Security and your data

  • You decide what goes out. Every tool that acts is flagged as a write, so your assistant asks for your approval before it sends a message, edits or launches a campaign, by default. You can choose to always allow a tool: your call.

  • Credits. Enriching a lead shows its credit cost first and needs a second confirmation. Credits work as in the app.

  • Read-only parts. Campaign stats and the LGM Analysis Agent only read.

  • Access. You sign in with OAuth, with no API key to paste. Your assistant only reaches the workspaces you can access in La Growth Machine.

  • Storage. The server keeps no copy of your data: it fetches it on demand for your conversation. Usage analytics record which tool was called and a few technical details (such as the client you use), never your messages, leads or conversations.

  • Open source. The code is public under Apache 2.0 on GitHub.

Good to know

  • Campaigns: your assistant starts from one of your campaigns or a template from our catalog, and duplicates it. It doesn't build a sequence from scratch. The audience and sending identity can be changed until the campaign is launched.

  • In the app only: recording voice steps and call scripts. A launch is refused if one of them is missing.

  • Replies: your assistant can reply on LinkedIn (text or voice) or by email in an existing conversation, from your own identity.

  • LGM Analysis Agent: answers any question about your outreach activity, read only. It's part of the Ultimate plan.

  • Agencies and teams: with the workspaces feature, one connection reaches every client workspace. Tell your assistant which client you're working on.

Troubleshooting

  • I can't find La Growth Machine in the Claude connectors: add it by URL with Add custom connector and https://mcp.lagrowthmachine.com.

  • The sign-in tab doesn't open, or lands on my dashboard: allow pop-ups for your assistant, then remove the connector and add it again. Sign in with the La Growth Machine account you want to use.

  • I can't add a connector, or Developer mode is greyed out: your company controls connectors. In Claude Team or Enterprise, ask an owner to add La Growth Machine for your organization. In ChatGPT Business or Enterprise, ask a workspace admin to turn on Developer mode.

  • My assistant uses the wrong workspace or account: ask "List my La Growth Machine workspaces", then name the one to use. If it's the wrong account altogether, disconnect the connector and sign in again with the right one.

  • "This feature requires the Ultimate plan": the LGM Analysis Agent is part of the Ultimate plan. If you're already on Ultimate, contact us in the chat and we'll check it's turned on for your workspace.

  • A plan or limit error when launching or resuming: your assistant passes on the limits of your plan (for example, the maximum number of running campaigns). Pause another campaign, or check your plan.

  • Cursor or Codex doesn't see La Growth Machine: the skills install command doesn't connect the MCP there. Follow the Cursor or Codex steps above.

FAQs

Is the MCP free? Can I use it during the free trial?

Yes. The MCP is free on every La Growth Machine plan and during the free trial. Enrichment uses credits, as in the app. The LGM Analysis Agent is part of the Ultimate plan.

Do I need an API key?

No. You sign in with your La Growth Machine account. An API key is only an option for MCP clients that can't do the OAuth sign-in.

Is this the official server?

Yes: https://mcp.lagrowthmachine.com is built and run by La Growth Machine. Some directories list community or third-party servers that ask for an API key or a specific plan. They aren't ours.

Will my assistant send or change things without me?

Not by default. Claude and ChatGPT ask for your approval before every action that writes to your account, unless you choose to always allow a tool.
