When you perform a search on Sales Navigator, LinkedIn includes all open job experiences in a profile, which can lead to irrelevant results.
Lead Cleaning helps eliminate these false positives by only retaining the most recent, relevant experience, and avoids responses like “I’m not in that role anymore.”

How does Lead Cleaning work?
Once activated, LGM automatically reviews every lead during import. It checks each profile’s most recent job experience and applies your Sales Navigator filters (title and industry).
Leads that match are kept.
Leads that don’t match are excluded.
At the end of the import, you’ll receive a CSV file detailing why specific leads were excluded.
What criteria are used to filter the leads?
Lead cleaning uses two key criteria:
Title: If you search for Sales Managers, only leads whose current role includes that exact title are kept.
Industry: If you search for Sales Managers in Software Development, LGM ensures the most recent role matches that industry.
Does lead cleaning work with all import types?
No. Lead cleaning is only available for Sales Navigator search imports.
It does not work with Sales Navigator lists or any other type of import.
Can I recover excluded leads?
Yes!
At the end of your import, LGM provides a CSV explaining why certain leads were excluded. If needed, you can manually add them back to your audience.
Important: once you close the download banner, you cannot access the CSV again.
Is Lead Cleaning available to all users?
Audience cleaning is included as a free trial for all users.
After the trial, it becomes available only for PRO and ULTIMATE plan users.
