Configure owner assignment in Pipedrive and LGM
Retrieve the user ID in Pipedrive
Go to your Pipedrive account and click your initials at the top right, then select Manage users:
Choose the teammate you want to set as the owner of the lead (the identity that launched the campaign), and click the three dots and select User overview:
Copy the user ID directly from the URL:
Important: The ID must be accurate, since Make will use it to assign the correct owner in Pipedrive.
Add the user ID inside LGM
You can now insert that ID into LGM using a custom attribute.
You may pick any custom attribute (in the example, Custom attribute 1 is used):
Tip: Always reuse the same custom attribute in your automations to keep everything organized.
When should the information be sent?
The best moment to update the owner is once the lead has been activated in an LGM campaign and synced into Pipedrive.
At that point, you can let Make update the owner automatically.
Create the Make sequence
To change the owner, you’ll need to create a custom sequence in Make.
Follow the dedicated tutorial on creating a Make sequence.
If your LGM account isn’t connected to Make yet, check out our article on how to set up the connection.
Note: Make acts as the bridge between LGM and Pipedrive to send the user ID at the right moment.
