Overview

Creating manual tasks in HubSpot can save you time and help you follow up consistently. If you’ve already enabled La Growth Machine’s native synchronization with HubSpot, your leads and activity logs flow into the CRM automatically. Now, you can take things further by letting LGM trigger task creation for you.

Key benefits

  • Save time by automating manual reminders and avoiding mental task tracking

  • Stay organized with tasks that appear directly on the contact timeline

  • Connect workflows between LGM, Zapier, and HubSpot to streamline your day

  • Customize triggers to match exactly when a manual task should be created

How to create a manual task in HubSpot

Step 1: Choose your trigger

Your trigger will be a Webhook.

You'll use Catch Hook as your main trigger in Zapier. Zapier will then generate a webhook URL.

Add this URL in La Growth Machine as your webhook destination.

Important: The webhook feature is available on the Ultimate plan — or Pro if you're using a custom exit setting.

Step 2: Create the engagement in HubSpot

In Zapier, choose Create engagement for a contact.

You can customize several elements, including:

  • The type of engagement

  • The task description

  • The due date

Tip: Make sure you link the lead’s email and the correct ID so HubSpot finds the right contact.

And that’s it, your manual task will now appear in HubSpot automatically!

FAQs

How do I know if my HubSpot sync is correctly enabled?

Check your LGM settings under Integrations > HubSpot. If contacts and activity logs are appearing on HubSpot timelines, the sync is active.

Can I trigger different types of tasks depending on the lead’s behavior?

Yes. You can create separate Zaps and webhooks for each specific action or exit condition in your LGM workflows.

Do I need a paid Zapier plan for this?

Generally, no. Catch Hooks are available on free plans, but multi-step Zaps may require a paid plan depending on your setup.

Where do tasks appear in HubSpot?

They will show up directly on the contact’s timeline and in your HubSpot tasks dashboard.
