Overview

In La Growth Machine, a campaign is almost never considered “finished” in the traditional sense. Let’s break down why — and how to tell whether there’s still something happening behind the scenes.

Key benefits

  • Clear understanding of the campaign lifecycle

  • Better control over campaign statuses

  • Smarter decisions about when to pause or stop

Campaign status explained

A campaign can have several statuses:

  • Running

  • Paused

  • Stopped

You may have noticed there’s no “Finished” status. That’s intentional.

Why there is no “Finished” status

A campaign is never truly finished because a prospect can reply:

  • the next day

  • a week later

  • a month later

  • or even a year later

As long as the campaign is marked as Running, La Growth Machine keeps listening for replies and checking inboxes.

Even if there are no upcoming actions, the campaign stays active until 100% of prospects have replied.

If you want to truly end a campaign, you need to take action yourself.

Paused vs Stopped: a critical difference

  • Paused: reversible. You can resume the campaign at any time.

  • Stopped: irreversible. All upcoming actions are deleted, and the campaign can never be restarted.

Important: When in doubt, always choose Paused. Use Stopped only if you’re absolutely sure the campaign should never run again.

Are there any actions left to run?

The fastest way to know if your campaign still has work to do is to open the campaign and check the Logs section.

Checking upcoming actions

Inside Logs, look at Upcoming actions.

This is where you can see:

  • emails waiting to be sent

  • LinkedIn messages scheduled

  • or any other planned actions

If there are no upcoming actions, it means:

  • all prospects have completed the sequence

  • no further actions are scheduled automatically

At that point, the campaign may feel finished — even though it technically remains Running, simply waiting for potential late replies.

FAQs

Why is my campaign still marked as “Running” if there are no actions left?

Because the campaign remains active while waiting for possible replies from prospects.

Should I stop a campaign once there are no actions left?

Not necessarily. If you still want to capture late replies, keep it Running. Otherwise, use Paused.

What’s the difference between Paused and Stopped?

Paused is reversible. Stopped is permanent and cannot be undone.

Where can I see if actions are still pending?

Open the campaign and go to Logs, then check Upcoming actions.

Can a stopped campaign be restarted?

No. Once a campaign is Stopped, it is permanently ended.
