How lead qualification works in La Growth Machine

Key things to know before getting started

There are a few important rules to understand about lead qualification.

  • Leads can only be qualified within the context of a specific campaign

  • If a lead has never been part of a campaign, it cannot be qualified

  • Qualification helps track the success of a campaign and preserves outreach history

  • If the same lead is part of multiple campaigns, it can be qualified separately for each one

Important: Lead qualification is available starting from the Pro plan.

How to qualify a lead using tags

Step 1: Launch a campaign

First, your lead must be part of an active campaign.

Step 2: Qualify the lead

When a lead replies, it is automatically assigned the To qualify tag.

This indicates that the lead requires manual qualification from you.

Step 3: Analyze campaign success

Tags fall into three main categories:

  • Replied

  • Won

  • Lost

Each time you assign a tag, the lead is counted in one of these categories.

For example, if you receive 1,400 replies and 143 leads are tagged as Won, this represents 10.2% of total replies.

Can a lead have a global tag?

❌ No. Tags are always campaign-specific.

Example:
You launch a campaign, a lead replies, and you tag them as Interested in that campaign.

If the same lead joins another campaign later, it can receive a different tag in that new context.

How automatic Out Of Office detection works

Pro or Ultimate plans

La Growth Machine automatically detects Out Of Office replies based on email responses.

When this happens:

  • The Out Of Office tag is automatically applied

  • The reply is not counted in campaign reply statistics

What happens next?

  • If a return date is detected: the sequence resumes 3 days after the return date

  • If no return date is detected: the lead is paused and must be resumed manually

Basic plan

Out Of Office replies are not detected automatically, but you can apply the tag manually if needed.

Can a lead have multiple tags in one campaign?

❌ No. A lead can only have one tag per campaign.

Can tags update my CRM lifecycle?

Yes. You can associate tags with lifecycle updates in your CRM.

Can tags be used with Zapier or the API?

Yes. Tags can be used as triggers or actions via Zapier or through the API.

Is a CRM log created for each qualification?

Yes. Each time you tag a lead, a log entry is generated in your CRM.

Can I qualify leads from the Inbox?

Yes. You can qualify leads directly from the Inbox.

Important: The selected tag will always be linked to the last campaign that sent a message.

Summary

In short, you can:

  • Qualify your leads in campaigns using tags

  • Trigger actions in your CRM or automation tools based on qualification

  • Apply one specific tag per campaign

If a lead is part of two campaigns, it can have two different tags, one for each campaign — giving you precise, campaign-level insight every time.
