A/B Testing helps you compare message variants inside your prospecting sequences so you can make data-driven decisions. Instead of guessing, you quickly see which approach performs best and scale what works.

Key benefits

  • Higher reply rates by validating the most impactful messages

  • Faster learning with clear, comparable results

  • Continuous improvement across emails and LinkedIn outreach

What is A/B testing?

A/B Testing is a feature that lets you compare two variants of the same message or communication channel within your prospecting sequences.

By running variants side by side, you can quickly determine which approach delivers the best results (opens, clicks, replies, conversions).

Why use A/B testing?

Every audience is different, so knowing what truly resonates is crucial.

A/B Testing allows you to identify what works by testing, for example:

  • Two email subjects

  • Two LinkedIn approaches

  • Two message styles

This validation helps you lock in the most impactful messages and significantly increase your positive response rate.

How to set up an A/B test in your sequence

Follow these simple steps.

Step 1: Access your sequence

  • Open your campaign sequence editor

Step 2: Select the step to test

  • Click an existing step

  • Or add a new one (LinkedIn message or email)

Step 3: Create a variant

  • Click the AB button to add a second version

  • Customize each variant (text, email subject, variables, etc.)

Step 4: Save and launch

  • Click Save to immediately activate the A/B Test

What elements can you test?

You have plenty of options to refine your messages.

Emails

  • Email subjects

  • Email body content

LinkedIn

  • LinkedIn messages

  • LinkedIn Connection requests

    • 2 different invite notes

    • 1 connection without note vs 1 connection with invite note

  • LinkedIn voice messages (coming soon)

How to analyze your results

To measure results effectively, compare the performance of each variant.

From your campaign tracking

  • Go to your campaign

  • Open the Channel Statistics tab

There you can review:

  • Global statistics

  • Variant-specific performance

  • Open rates, clicks, replies, and conversion rates

Use these insights to select the best-performing variant and improve future campaigns.

Easily manage your A/B variants

Once you’ve identified the most effective variant, you can manage it anytime.

Pause a variant

  • Directly from the sequence editor

  • From the Reports menu

  • From campaign tracking in Channel Statistics

Reactivate a variant

  • At any time

  • In just a few clicks

  • Whenever you need it

Tip: keep past variants available. What didn’t work today might perform better with a different audience tomorrow.
