In general, when a prospect books an appointment with you, he lets you know, by replying to your messages, whether by LinkedIn, email, or Twitter.
By default, those reply actions correspond to a completed objective in LGM and stop the following actions of the sequence on the lead concerned.
But most of you are using an external tool to book a meeting with your lead, and most of the time, you are using Calendly to do that (this is also our case).
Sometimes, your lead will book an appointment directly on your Calendly link without giving you a reply (yes, it happens). That's great, you've accomplished your first mission!
However, you’ll want to avoid that person continuing to receive automatic prospecting messages from you.
To do this, you have two solutions:
- Manually remove your lead from your LGM sequence
- Create automation linking Calendly to LGM to automatically remove a lead from a sequence when this lead books an appointment
What's the best fit for you? Let's discover it!

Manually remove your lead from your LGM sequence :
If you’re using Calendly, you’ll receive an email every time someone books a meeting with you.
This is a great warning to remind you to remove this lead from your LGM sequence.
To do this, you need to click on your current campaign, it'll open on the overview tab,
Here you will be able to find your lead, select it, and pause the campaign on it.
This way works well, but it is time-consuming and does not exclude the possibility that a message is scheduled between the time your prospect has selected an appointment in your calendar and the time you remove him from the sequence.
That's why you might want to automate this process.
Remove automatically your lead from your sequence using Zapier
To do so you’ll need to follow these steps :
First, you need to choose Calendly App as a trigger and select when an Invitee was Created, then select La Growth Machine as the action and select Update Lead Status.
Once you have connected your Calendly account to Zapier, you can test the trigger and go to the next step.
Then, when you have selected your LGM account, you’ll need to set up the action to perform :
The first step is to choose if you want this automation to apply to all your campaigns or just a few. In this case, I’ll choose all campaigns but you can select the ones that you want in the same zap.
Remember, the action to perform is to change the status of the lead, to remove it from the sequence but also to identify those who have converted: this is why we will select Converted as the status.
After this step, the question arises of what data to use to match the lead and take it out of the LGM sequence.
Which lead data should I use to make the connection between Calendly and LGM?
The basic answer would be to say professional email. And yes it is this data that we advise you to use first.
If LGM is able to enrich the profile email, there will be a match, and the prospect will automatically be taken out of the sequence.
But, if LGM was not able to enrich the email and therefore there is no possibility of a match, I recommend you to use, in addition, the following 3 keys :
First name
Last name
Company name
This implies that you ask for this information in your Calendly link, to find this data in your configuration on Zapier.
Then test your zap and make it live 🔛 !
It's up to you now!
As you can see, this Zap can help you to win time and credibility for your leads. Use it with your sequences so don't worry about you not responding to your leads!
In the meantime, why don't you try these zaps?
