Overview

You may sometimes notice that a LinkedIn message or invitation in your conversations looks like it was sent outside the working hours you configured in LaGrowthMachine.

No worries — this is not a bug.

Key benefits

  • Clear understanding of how LinkedIn displays send times

  • Less confusion when messages appear outside your working hours

  • Confidence knowing this behavior comes from LinkedIn, not LGM

What you need to know

The displayed time depends on acceptance, not sending

LinkedIn shows the time when an invitation is accepted, not when it was actually sent.

For example:
If you send an invitation on Monday at 10:00 AM, but your prospect accepts it on Saturday at 11:00 PM, LinkedIn will display 11:00 PM as the send time in the conversation.

Important: This can make it look like the message was sent outside your working hours, even though it was sent correctly.

Invitations already sent remain active

If you stop a campaign or change an identity, invitations that were already sent are not canceled.

They stay pending until the prospect accepts them.
Once accepted, the invitation note appears in the conversation at that moment.

The invitation note only becomes visible upon acceptance

This is a LinkedIn-specific rule.

Until the connection request is accepted, the invitation note is hidden. It only appears once the prospect accepts the request.

In short

This behavior can feel confusing (we get it 😅), but it’s entirely due to how LinkedIn works behind the scenes.

Note: This is not an issue or malfunction on LaGrowthMachine.

Tip: clean up pending invitations

You can easily delete unaccepted invitations directly from your LinkedIn account.

👉 Go to Manage sent invitations to keep things clean and under control.
