A quick reminder of custom attributes

If you want to send personalized images to your leads, you need to use Custom Attributes. If you are unfamiliar with how it works, you can read our article on How to use CustomAttributes to personalize at scale!

Warning, Experimental Feature

This feature is quite experimental. We recommend you test it internally first, on a few colleagues. Plus, it won’t work on LinkedIn Direct Message without a third-party service that we will explain 😉

Setting up your HTML and embedding it

In order to set up a custom image for each lead, we will use some HTML code for each lead, as seen below

<img src="REPLACE_WITH_THE_URL_OF_YOUR_CUSTOM_IMAGE" alt="img" />

For each lead, reuse this tag as in your CSV. Make sure to replace "REPLACE_WITH_THE_URL_OF_YOUR_CUSTOM_IMAGE" with the custom url, as shown below.

You can use our template to generate the custom attribute

Once your list is ready, export it to a CSV

And import it into LGM, making sure to map the right custom attribute

Once imported, you'll be able to use it in your templates as shown below.

Simply insert a custom attribute into the message field of your campaign

You just have to launch your campaign and here’s what your lead will receive, here with a GIF as an example!

Linkedin link’s preview policy (Hyperise workaround)

You may not know it, but it's not possible to embed an image in a LinkedIn direct message. LinkedIn will force you to put the link directly and generate a preview. But with GIFs, it won't work on Linkedin.

So, you're telling me that you can't send personalized images on Linkedin? Fortunately, there's a service called Hyperise!

What is Hyperise?

Hyperise is a solution that lets you create personalized links and preview landing pages to send via LinkedIn or Email.

How do I integrate Hyperise with La Growth Machine?

Hyperise works by generating a URL with parameters to be passed which are used for customization.

Sets up a custom link on Hyperise and uses La Growth Machine's custom variables to transmit the information required for customization.

It’s up to you now!

Now that you know how to personalize your images, why don’t you give them a try?
