How to change my identity's LinkedIn or Email Profile?

Sometimes, a collaborator may leave or you may have successfully completed your mission with a client. In either case, you may be paying for an identity that you no longer need. You may wonder how you can change an identity without deactivating it. It's actually quite simple.

How to reassign the identity to another member or another widget?

If you're using the widget, you know that Identities have to be assigned to a widget for automation to run locally from the computer. The automation is done locally from the widget for security reasons, especially with regard to LinkedIn. This allows you to perform the automation from your computer and IP address, which makes it almost impossible for LinkedIn to detect the automation.

If you forget to reassign the identity to an active widget, it will not run.

In that case, let's make sure that the identity you want to replace is assigned to your widget. You just have to go into the “Manage Widget” Tab and assign the identity to your widget

How to change a LinkedIn or Email Account

To change an identity, you don't have to delete it, you can simply replace the accounts connected to it.

Make sure to follow this procedure :

  1. To start, pause the campaigns that are linked to the identity to be deleted

  2. Disconnect emails and LinkedIn accounts from the identity to be deleted

  3. Then connect the LinkedIn account & emails of the identity to be added to that identity - you'll see that the information (full name, photo etc...) will be updated automatically when the accounts are connected by LGM

  4. Last step, check the widget in the manage widget tab.

When swapping Email and LinkedIn Accounts, make sure to pause your campaign first!

Be careful, remember to pause the campaigns on this identity, otherwise, LGM will try to continue the automation with the email and the LinkedIn account of the first identity once you have reconnected it.

This means that we will try to send messages on Linkedin to leads that are connected with the first identity, despite that your new identity isn’t connected!

Always pause the campaigns before doing an change on Email or Linkedin Accounts!
